From here‚ you will be taken to your hotel in ‘Solang Valley’‚ where you would be checked-in and made to acclimatize to the surrounding climate. Later you would be taken to a walk towards the ‘Shiv-ling’ and also indulge in river crossing. You would spend the night at hotel.

Day 02: Acclimatization at Solang

The second day would be spent at ‘Solang’‚ acclimatizing to the climate and getting in touch with the surroundings. ‘Solang’ is an authentic Himalayan Village of ‘Kullu Valley’. After breakfast you would be taken for rock climbing and rappelling and post lunch‚ trek towards waterfall near the hotel. The night will be spent in hotel.

Day 03: Solang – Chhatru - Batal (Drive - Approx 07 - 08 hrs) Over Rohtang Pass (3978 Mts.) And Camp at Batal
The third day is a big surprise as we start our journey leaving‚ the lush green countryside of ‘Manali’ and move towards ‘Rohthang Pass’ (3,978 Mts.). Few places on the Earth can mark so dramatic a change in landscape as the Rohthang Pass. To one side‚ the lush green head of Kullu Valley; to the other‚ an awesome vista of bare‚ chocolate – colored mountains‚ hanging glaciers and snowfields that shine in the dazzlingly crisp fight. As we cross to the other side and at place called ‘Gramphu’ we leave the main ‘Leh – Manali’ Highway and enter into another Valley (Chandra Valley) and continue driving on a unmetalled road‚ all along the ‘Chandra River’ till ‘Chhatru’ and later have lunch. We then proceed to ‘Chhota Dara’ (3740 Mts) - the trail winds through a narrow valley along the roadside. All along the trail the River Chandra keeps us company and we continue the same trail along the river Chandra leads to tiny hamlet of ‘Batal’. From here there is a bifurcation‚ one road leads over the ‘Kunzum – La’ in to the Spiti Valley‚ while the other one goes on towards enchanting ‘Lake of the Moon’ (Chandrataal). On the way‚ glimpses of the ‘Bara Shigri’ glacier provides one with the enormous scales that the Western Himalayan glaciers are made of. This particular glacier extends over 12 km. We end the day by camping in tents at ‘Batal’.

Day 04: Batal – Chandrataal (4270 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)

An extremely pleasant walk with gradual ascents and descents through some of the most magnificent scenery witnessed in the ‘Lahaul – Spiti’ region. The first sight of Chandrataal Lake takes ones breath away‚ with its shores ringed with meadows carpeted with hundreds of varieties of alpine flowers.

From ‘Batal’‚ we cross the road bridge over the ‘Chandra River’ and head up the road leading to the ‘Kun Zum La’. After a few km‚ a jeep track diverts up the Chandra Valley. The trekking on this stage can be hot and dusty. After several kilometers‚ the Chandra River enters a gorge. The trail to ‘Chandra Tal’ cuts away from the river valley and gradually ascends‚ through boulder fields at first‚ before meeting the stream coming from the lake. From here on, the trail becomes steeper‚ passing over grassy ridges towards a fertile plateau‚ which acts as a divide between the main Chandra Valley and the side valley fed by the stream from Chandra Tal. Follow the ‘Gaddi trails’ around to the side of the lake (4250m) and finally camp for the night at the head of the lake appreciating the spectacular beauty and spending a relaxed evening after the rewarding walk.

Day 05: Chandrataal – Topkoyongma (Lower River) (4320 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)

A walk through similar terrain as the day before‚ after leaving this jewel of a lake‚ brings one to 'Topkoyongma' where a river crossing is made that leads on to the campsite. We later retire for the night in our tented camp.

Day 06: Topkoyongma – Topkogongma (Higher River) (4640 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)
Today again‚ another river crossing is involved, so an early start is advisable. The scenery is quite barren in a beautiful kind of way and by evening the campsite is reached‚ where we would rest in tented camps.

Day 07: Topkogongma – Barlacha - La (4830 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs) - Keylong (Drive) (Approx 06 - 07 hrs)
A five hour climb leads up to the ‘Baralacha –La’. The name of the pass literally means a summit with crossroads meeting on the top. Roads from ‘Ladakh & Spiti’ meet here and from atop the pass we can witness superb views of the mighty Western Himalayan peaks on the way to the campsite. After having undertaken a pleasant walk through some of the most magnificent mountain capes‚ we reach the middle of the great Himalayas. The Jeep would pick us up from ‘Baralacha la’ and we would drive to ‘Keylong’ through ‘Lahaul’ and spend the night in the hotel.

Day 08: Keylong – Rohtang Pass – Solang (Drive - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
Today we would drive back to Hotel Iceland in ‘Solang Valley’ and on the way we would have a halt at Rohtang Pass and depending on the weather we could go for Skiing (Optional at extra cost). Upon reaching Solang it will be a much deserved rest day. One can have a leisurely time or engage in some adventure activities like para-gliding‚ zorbing‚ quad-biking‚ cable-car riding etc. (Optional at extra cost). Overnight in hotel.

Day 09: Check-Out And Exploring Manali And Proceed for Onward Journey

Today we would check-out of hotel after breakfast. Then we can undertake an excursion to ‘Naggar’ or reach the river and do river rafting (Optional at extra cost). Later‚ we would reach back to ‘Manali’ and then post lunch‚ explore the ‘Manali’ market and by evening a Nomadier representative will assist you with your onward journey from the ‘Manali’ Bus-stand to your respective destination.
