Day 01: Arrival in Solang

A Nomadier representative will be waiting for you at ‘Manali’ Bus-stand or ‘Kullu Airport’ and welcome you to the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. We would straight away head towards our hotel in the Solang Valley. Later after you have acclimatized and relaxed, we would undertake a small walk to ‘Shiv-Ling’ and do river crossing. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 02: Acclimatizing and Adventure Activities

The second day would be spent at ‘Solang’, acclimatizing to the climate and getting in touch with the surroundings. ‘Solang’ is an authentic Himalayan Village of ‘Kullu Valley’. After breakfast you would be taken for rock climbing and rappelling and post lunch, you can indulge in valley adventure activities like paragliding, zorbing, quad biking, cable car riding, etc. (Optional at extra charges). The night will be spent in our hotel - Iceland.


Day 03: Solang to Chansari - (100 kms.) (Drive - Approx 03 - 04 hrs) and then Trek to Matikochhar (2590 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 03 - 04 hrs), EN Route, Visit to Bijlimahadev Temple
We leave after breakfast, and drive through’ Naggar’ and after a brief stop over we resume driving through the beautiful landscape comprising of vast cultivation fields dotted with old Kulluvi style wooden houses. From here we reach the starting point of our trek - ‘Chansari’. It is situated on the opposite side of the ‘Kullu Town’. This place provides one with good view of the Valley beneath. Here group would meet the ponies and the team. After loading the ponies, the trail would gradually ascent through the Village then bit steeper into the Pine forest all the way till ‘Bijlimahadev Temple’. It is situated amidst an alpine meadow on an elevated location between the twin Valleys of Beas and Parvati, ‘Bijlimahadev’ is a perfect vintage point. It provides a spectacular 360 degree view of the whole Kullu region. Further a gradual walk through ‘Kais wildlife sanctuary’ through beautiful pine forest leads to the camp at ‘Matikochhar’, there is also a forest Rest House here. And here, situated in the middle of the wildlife sanctuary in a nice a cosy location is the camp. We camp in tents for the night with wonderful views of the adjoining mountain peaks.


Day 04: Matikochhar – Umloa Ruar (3250 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs) and Overnight in a Camp

Today’s trek is through the dense Deodar (Cedar) forest initially. This trek is a nature lover’s delight and provides opportunity for avid bird watcher. So get ready with your binoculars. The ascent finally ends at the Alpine meadow of ‘Oublede’, it is a beautiful meadow known for its famous spring water, and providing good view of the Valley and some nice isolated villages. It is also a known habitat of the ‘Brown Bear’. Leaving the meadow behind, the next leg of the walk is gradual ascent through the forest and small meadows for around an hour then gradual walk till the camp at ‘Umla Ruar’. We camp for the night with views of ‘Parfait Valley’. We retire for the night in tented camps.


Day 05: Umla Ruar – Over Chanderkhani Pass (3650 Mts.) - Nagruni (2900 Mts.)
(Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)

A gradual climb to the pass, we pass through another small Pass (Rumpus) on the way and reach the ‘Chandrakani Pass’ (3650m) which is marked by prayer flags and cairns. The trail then continues along the ridge, with views of the upper ‘Malana Valley’ and the high peaks in the upper ‘Tosh Valley’, including ‘White Sail’ (6446m) and ‘Papsura’ (6451m). After completing the traverse, we descend and reach ‘Nagruni’ camp and retire for the night in tents.


Day 06: Nagruni – Chhota Grahan Thach (3350 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
First we descend to the Valley floor then trek all along the stream (Malana Nalla). From here it’s a pleasant walk with a broad trail through dense forests and meadows. The valley widens at the camp ground and showcases an ideal camping site with variety of alpine flowers all around. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 07: Chhota Grahan Thach – Khiksa Thach (3660 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
The seventh day starts, by a ascending to a ridge which further descends to the stream and we resume the journey upwards towards the ‘Khiksa Thach’. The campsite is laid out and we camp for the night.


Day 08: Khiksa Thach – Malana Glacier (3840 Mts. - 4000 Mts.) And back to Khiksa Thach
(Trek - Approx 06 - 07 hrs)

We leave the main stream trail and veer left onto a ridge and continue with several ups and downs for next 3-4 Hrs, and finally reach ‘Malana Glacier’. We spend some time enjoying a breath taking view with high peaks towering all around and later trek back to ‘Khiksa Thach’. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 09: Khiksa Thach – Malana Village (3500 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)
We trek all the way back till the point where the ‘Nagruni’ trail meets the valley floor and further a trek of 3 hours all along the valley till we reach ‘Malana Village’. ‘Malana Village’ is a small community of the tribal peoples, who have a unique culture and their very own government. The story goes to show how the Greeks under ‘Alexander The Great’ penetrated as far as ‘Malana Village’, where few Soldiers, who were left behind from his army, intermarried and developed the society that came to be known as ‘Malana Village Society’. It is also the oldest democracy of the world. The village has its own laws and believes in detaching themselves from the outside world and its problems. Overnight at tented camps.


Day 10: Malana – Kasol (Trek - Approx 01 hr) (Drive - 02 -03 hrs)
After leaving the beautiful village of ‘Malana’ we trek down to meet the motorable track and then drive through the ‘Malana Hydel’ project to ‘Jari’ and then drive further to Kasol. We spend the night in the hotel.


Day 11: Kasol – Manikaran – Solang - 90 kms. (Drive - Approx 03 - 04 hrs)
After having breakfast, we head towards ‘Manikaran’. It is famous spot in the ‘Parfait Valley’ known specifically for its hot spring. It is believed to be radioactive and good for such diseases as rheumatism, gout and bronchitis. Therefore thousands of pilgrims have a dip in the hot waters. Manikaran has a ‘Ram Temple’ and the famous ‘Sikh Guruduara’ on the bank of ‘River Parfait’. It is also good spot for trout fishing. Later we leave for Solang Valley and spend the night at the hotel itself.


Day 12: Check-Out And Explore Manali And Proceed for Onward Journey

Today we would check-out of the hotel after breakfast. Then, we can either go to see the ‘Rohtang Pass’ and depending on the weather we could go for Skiing (Optional at extra charges) or reach the river and do river rafting. We would reach back to ‘Manali’ and then post lunch, explore the ‘Manali’ market and by evening a Nomadier representative will assist you with your onward journey from the ‘Manali’ Bus-stand to your respective destination.
