Day 01: Arrival in Solang

A Nomadier representative will be waiting for you at Manali Bus stand or ‘Kullu Airport’ and welcome you to the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. We would straight away head towards our hotel in Solang Valley. Later after you have acclimatized and relaxed, we would undertake a small walk to ‘Shiv-Ling’ and do river crossing. Later we would spend the night at our hotel.


Day 02: Acclimatize And Adventure Activities

The second day would be spent at ‘Solang’, acclimatizing to the climate and getting in touch with the surroundings. ‘Solang’ is an authentic Himalayan Village of ‘Kullu Valley’. After breakfast you would be taken for rock climbing and rappelling and post lunch, you can indulge in valley adventure activities like para-gliding, zorbing, quad-biking, cable-car riding etc (Optional at extra charges). The night will be spent in our hotel.


Day 03: Solang – Kaza (200 Mts.) (Drive - Approx 08 - 10 hrs)
Today we head towards ‘Kaza’. Overnight at tented camp in Kaza.


Day 04: Kaza – Kibber (4,205 Mts.)

Today’s day starts with a visit to ‘Kye’ monastery, and reaching the World famous village ‘Kibber’. This is one of the highest villages in the world. We pitch a camp here, and then make a visit to the village and its surroundings. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 05: Kibber – Tumlay (4,560 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 05.30 hrs)

Our trekking starts from today. We descend through the gorge and arrive at the last village of, ‘Tumlay’, at a distance of around 500 mts one can see the ‘Parang – La’ and the snow capped mountains all around. This had been an ancient trade route between Spiti and Tibet. In olden times, merchants used to come from Tibet to participate in a trade fair which was held at ‘La – Darcha’, to trade various commodities with them. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 06: Tumlay – Base of Parang-La (5,000 Mts.) – (Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)
Today we head towards the ‘Parang La’ trail which lies directly on the route to ‘Spiti’ and ‘Rupshu’. The walk will be a steep descend through the ‘Parilugui’ gorge. The majestic ‘Parilugui’ summit stands erected towards south of ‘Parang La’. One can occasionally catch the glimpses of Himalayan Wild Life comprising of ‘Bharal’, ‘Marmot’, ‘Ibex’ etc. Finally after one hour of descend and three hours of ascend we would reach the campsite. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 07: Base of Parang-La – Largyup (4,930 Mts.) – Over Parang-La (5,600 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 06 - 07 hrs)
Here you will enjoy the panorama of Himalayas at the right side of the pass. Towards one side of ‘Largyup’ are glaciers whereas the other side it is dry. After crossing Parang-La we descend down the glacier from where ‘Parachu’ originates. Overnight in tented camp.


Day 08: Largyup – Umna (4,580 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
Today’s walk is one of the most easiest and enjoyable walks of the trek. We will be crossing a stream twice or thrice to find high snow caped mountains to the right and dry land to the left. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 09: Umna – Rachu Lamo (4,470 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04.30 hrs)
We take a pleasant walk besides the ‘Parachu’ river, which flows all the way to the Tibet frontier near ‘Chumar’ village and then again enters ‘Spiti’ and joins at ‘Sumdo’. We would have to cross small streams to reach the camping site. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 10: Rachu Lamo – Chhumik Sharde (4,300 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04.30 hrs)
Walking all the way besides the ‘Parachu’ river we would reach the beautiful camping site. On the way we have to cross ‘Parachu’ before reaching the camping site. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 11: Chhumik Sharde – Tsomoriri (4,450 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
We walk through the ‘Parachu’ valley to reach the ‘Chang Thang’ valley; which is, inhabited by ‘Changpas’- the up country pastoral community. The ‘Changpas’ have retained their nomadic glory, in spite of the continuing hardships and harsh weather. They live at the higher regions of ‘Chang Thang’ at heights above 4,500 mts. Their means of livelihood depends upon their herds of Yak, Sheep, Goats and Horses with which they migrate from one pastoral land to another. ‘Changpas’ are warm-hearted people, devoted to their families and flocks. Buddhists by religion, they are socially active and love music and dancing. We spend time observing and interacting with them and getting to know more about their culture. We reach ‘Tsomoriri Lake’ where our camp is set. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 12: Rest At Tsomoriri
We spend the day resting and exploring ‘Tsomoriri’. It is the largest lake in the ‘Rupshu’ district with brackish water and an average depth of 248ft. On its western shore stands the majestic ‘Korzok’ Monastery. The present building was erected around 1850, but the origin of the shrine goes back to ‘Mon’ and ‘Dart’ times possibly before the 9th century. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 13: Tsomoriri – Kun Motchey (4,580 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
Today we take an upward trail to ‘Phirtse – Pho’ river and reach a beautifully set up campsite. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 14: Kun Motchey – Lato (4,690 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
This valley is slightly wider and flatter to walk on. Overnight at tented camp at ‘Lato’.


Day 15: Lato – Zozang (4,700 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 04 - 05 hrs)
‘Zozang’ is the base of ‘Tela Konla’. It has a splendid campsite adorned with views of the high mountains. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 16: Zozang – Pang (4,750 Mts.) (Trek - Approx 05 - 06 hrs)
We start the day by ascending over ‘Tela Konla’ to have an extensive view of a barren plateau called ‘Pang’ (Kyang-Chu-Thang). From here you get beautiful views of the high peaks. Later we descend to the bank of ‘Zara Chhu’ river and after walking for almost 6 hrs, and crossing ‘Zara Chhu River’ several times, we finally reach the last campsite of our trek. Overnight at tented camp.


Day 17: Pang – Leh (3,566 Mts.) (Drive - Approx 04 hrs)
Today we drive over ‘Tanglang La which is the world’s 2nd highest motorable pass. Riding high, we encounter many things which would stay with you forever. After a four hour drive, we reach ‘Leh’. Overnight at hotel.


Day 18: Rest Day and Explore Leh
Today we would embark on a cultural tour of Leh which would comprise of us visiting the famous ‘Shey Palace’, ‘Thiksey Monastery’, ‘War Memorial’ ‘Spituk Monastery’, ‘Sanskar Gompa’, ‘Shanti Stupa’ etc. It is also a much deserved rest day, and one can have a leisurely time to spend. Overnight at hotel.


Day 19: Check-Out And Proceed for Onward Journey
Today, right after having breakfast/ lunch we would check-out and a Nomadier representative will assist you with your onward journey to your respective destination.
